The Summer Reading Program runs from Monday, June 3rd – Friday, July 19th. You can REGISTER ONLINE or by visiting the library.

Tuesday, June 18th at Noon & 6pm
We will be reading and discussing The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh in June. Stop by at the Noon session, the 6pm Session… or both… for great discussion and free refreshments.
Books can be picked up at the Front Desk.
Thursday, June 20th at 6pm
Made of natural stone and cork, these trivets will add a stylish design to your tabletop. For ages 14+.

Dogs love to listen to their human buddies read to them at the library. You may register for 15 minute time slots at the children’s desk or call 785-456-9181.
Your child will have a reading companion that will listen attentively in a relaxed, safe and comfortable environment.

Bring the family for a Treasure Hunt throughout the library! Be ready to hunt, eat and craft! Call 785-456-9181 or stop by the Front Desk to reserve your spot!

This July we will be reading the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire. Join us at Noon or 6pm… or both!… for lively discussion and refreshments.
***Also be on the lookout for the bus tour to Kansas City to see the Broadway production of Wicked which will be sponsored by the Columbian Theater.

Make certain your Scavenger Hunt Sheets and your Reading Logs for the Children, Teen and Adults
are turned in by 1pm in order to be eligible for the Summer Reading Prizes!
Then join us in the City park for the Worm Race Finale at 6:30pm. Everyone is invited!

To celebrate an awesome summer of reading, the library would like to invite you to Wamego’s first Worm Race! Come race your worm and enjoy Call Hall dirt & worms ice cream sundaes.
All SRP participants and their families are invited!
